What Spaceora collects, who it goes to, and how long it is kept.

Last updated: 2026-09-19

Introduction

Spaceora works on photographs of your home, your listings and your garden. That is personal data of a fairly intimate kind, so this page says plainly what we collect, who else sees it, and how long we keep it.

What We Collect

  1. Photos you upload. The room, listing or yard you want redesigned. This is the most sensitive thing we hold, and the rest of this page is mostly about it.
  2. Images we generate for you, together with the settings behind them — the style you picked, anything you typed into the description box, and the room or garden options you chose.
  3. Location you type for garden work. A postcode or ZIP code, used to look up the hardiness zone that filters which species can appear in your planting plan. We use it for that lookup and store it with the render it belongs to. We do not ask for your street address and do not collect your device's location.
  4. Account information. Your name and email address, either typed by you or supplied by Google if you sign in that way.
  5. Usage and device data. Which features you use and how often; device type, operating system and browser, used for compatibility and troubleshooting.
  6. Payment information. Handled by our payment processor. We see who paid, for which plan, and when. We never receive or store your full card number.
  7. Cookies. Used to keep you signed in and to remember preferences.

Who Else Sees Your Photos

Generating an image is not something that happens on our own machines, and you should know that before you upload anything.

  • The image provider. Your photo and the instruction built from your choices are transmitted to a third-party image-generation gateway, which runs the model that produces your result. This is a necessary part of the service: there is no version of Spaceora where your photo stays only with us.
  • Storage. Finished images and uploads are held in our own cloud storage bucket, under your user account rather than in a shared pool.
  • Payment processor. Billing details, handled entirely on their side.
  • Email provider. Your email address, for sign-in, receipts and service notices.

Each is used to operate the service and is bound by its own terms. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not publish your images or share them with other users.

What the image provider does with a photo on its own side — how long it keeps it, and what it may use it for — is governed by that provider's terms, not by this policy. We are not in a position to make promises on their behalf and do not make any here.

We may also disclose data to comply with a legal obligation or a lawful request from a public authority, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or those of our users.

How We Use It

  • To produce the image you asked for, and to keep it available in your account afterwards.
  • To run your account, process payments and send receipts.
  • To send technical notices, security alerts and support replies.
  • To answer your questions and investigate problems you report.
  • To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To understand, in aggregate, which features are used — never by publishing anything identifiable.

How Long We Keep It

Your uploads and generated images are kept against your account so you can come back to them. We keep them for as long as your account is open.

Account records and payment records are kept for as long as your account is open, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to.

Your Rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted.

Today these requests are handled by a person, not by a button. Write to contact@spaceora.app from the address on your account and say what you want done; we will action it and confirm when it is done, including removing your stored photos and generated images. We are building the self-service version, and this page will change when it lands.

Deleting your account deletes your uploads, your generated images and your account record. It does not delete payment records we are legally required to retain.

Children

Spaceora is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Data Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and regular reviews. Uploaded and generated images are served through our own origin behind an ownership check, rather than from a publicly guessable storage address. No system is perfectly secure, but that is the standard we hold ourselves to.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, a notice through the service.
